Traveling the by-ways of New Mexico constantly reminds me that the history of this territory is still alive, because there are remnants of it everywhere.  This gallery is a reminder that people in the not so distant past, such as those who built and worshiped in its adobe churches, secured the New Mexico territory and labored at Fort Union, struggled to build a life in the Southwest.  These images remind us that previous generations have communicated much about themselves  through the flotsam and jetsam of everyday life on the landscapes of New Mexico.
